Brother hoods 1839 restaurant is a nice little hidden gem right in the village of Washingtonville. We love going here for a quiet, good bite to eat. We also love how the property is kept up and kept true to its old charm and age. Good food, nice atmosphere and good prices.

Napoli at 1839? It's pizza's wild cousin that showed up in a sizzling skillet and said, "Let's party!" Crispy, cheesy, saucy yumminess in the best way. Perfect for sharing---if you can stop yourself from eating it all first.

Let's just say this: the Certified Angus NY Strip at 1839 Restaurant and Bar didn't just slap --- it full-on serenaded me. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and crusted like it was forged in the fires of Mount Flavor. The Port Wine Demi-Glace? Liquid gold. I would 100% drink it from a wine glass if I had no dignity (jury's still out). Roasted garlic and mushrooms brought the drama, and those red skin mashed potatoes? Comfort food in its final form. Every bite felt like a hug from a steak-loving angel. Stretchy pants recommended. Regret not included.

My favorite dish! It's difficult to try any other dish after having this one. Perfectly cooked shrimp in light, creamy tossed tortellini with a hint of smokiness and sherry. Perfectly accompanied with a sprinkle of parmigiana and glass of white or red wine...Never disappoints!

I like to order things I won't make at home when I'm out. I don't mind leftovers either. (Big veg portion!) These Brussels were ridiculous! Soft and crispy. Moist and crusty. Spicy and sweet. And I wish I had a plate in front of me right now! If you think you don't like Brussel Sprouts, you have NOT tried these. Pair them with a sweet white wine like the Brotherhood Blue Bottle Riesling and just ask everyone else to keep their hands off! (Ok, plenty to share...but really, don't!)
